Andrew is an Australian actor, born 1993, in Tamworth Australia. His mother is Dutch and father Australian. Raised on a cattle farm out of town he spent the majority of his youth riding horses and working with the livestock. Always full of energy and guided by a sense of adventure he had the freedom on the property to roam for days on end. At school he was highly competitive in rugby, boxing, swimming and athletics. From an early age Andrew developed a love of story telling and a joy that came from creating characters far removed from himself and after transitioning from his property in Tamworth to boarding school in Sydney he began performing in theatre productions and musicals, his favourite being Samuel Frenchs' "The Venetian Twins" playing both twins. Still in school he began attending comprehensive acting classes and workshops with coaches, directors and acting practitioners around Australia and after finishing school he performed in the 2011 OnStage show, where he showcased his graduating drama performance for upcoming students around Australia. At 18 he traveled alone around the world for 9 months, spending time in America, Thailand and Japan. After returning home he auditioned for the 3 year Bachelor of Performing Arts program at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where he had the ambition to attend formal acting training under some of the greatest teachers and directors in the world. Andrew admired the sheer quality of actors WAAPA produced and aspired to work with former graduates one day like Hugh Jackman, Frances O'Conner and Tim Minchin, all who lived in Perth during there years at the University. After the audition process Andrew was accepted into WAAPA to undertake his Bachelor of Performing Arts in Acting, where he would train on stage and behind the camera. It was in his time training he was awarded the Australian Voice Association Award for Excellence.Having finished classes and not long until the Graduation Showcase, Andrew was offered the role 'Kevin' in the ABC3 production 'Tomorrow When The War Began', Directed by Brendan Maher. Upon its completion, still with no agent, Andrew accepted his next role in the ABC mini series Barracuda directed by Robert Connolly. Andrew graduated with his degree in acting at 21 and owes a great deal of credit and thanks to the rigorous teachers and directors he spent time learning under at WAAPA. His more recent performances are, 'Tom' in the Steve Jaggie Entertainment film Riptide and 'Will' in the Black Milestone short film "Adult school', which is touring in film festivals internationally.
