Escalante began his acting career as a teenager, working in a soap opera called Feliz navidad mamá (2002). He appeared in film school exercises and short films while studying acting in CasAzul (2012). His career moved exclusively to theatre for a while, until in 2013 made an appearance in Los Muertos (Santiago Mohar).
